LOVE MILK is a Swedish maternity fashion brand, based in Malmö. Owned and run by two friends, Creative Director Helena Henning and Marketing Director Maria Swartling-Jung, since 2010, LOVE MILK is represented by maternity retailers internationally as well as our own online shop.
Helena Henning has a background and degree in fashion, design, pattern cutting and textiles, with several years experience in design and product development for international brands in London. Maria Swartling-Jung has a background and degree in communication and public relations, having focused mainly on energy and environment related topics.
LOVE MILK’s aim is to fill a gap in the maternity market, providing effortless, easy-to-wear pieces with high style. We want to go beyond basics and staples, and create garments that stand out and celebrate the female body.
Love Milk’s design has strong roots in the Scandinavian life style, without being traditionally minimalistic. We are inspired by strong, bold, creative women and culture from all over the world. Our approach is playful, colorful and independent.
From day one, Love Milk has produced 100% environmentally friendly garments, in organic cotton, bamboo and Tencel®. We pride ourselves in our commitment to the future of this world, and believe that environmentally positive production is the obvious choice and our responsibility as a garment manufacturer. For us it is not enough to be sustainable. The decisions we make are instead aimed at maximizing the positive impact on the environment.
All Love Milk tops and dresses have hidden breastfeeding access. Being mothers ourselves, we know that breastfeeding is not always so easy or natural and relaxed as we hope, so providing easy access to the breast is key. Making the nursing access part of the garment, allowing it to be both stylish and invisible, is the essence of a Love Milk design. We have been developing our own, unique breastfeeding openings, made possible with Helena Henning’s pattern cutting background, and were the first to launch several new solutions that are now widespread and loved, for which we take great pride.
